Late Monday night Station 6-1 was alerted for an animal rescue on the 100 block on York Rd. Crews arrived on scene and were told by a resident that their dog had fallen into the storm drain and went under one of the pipes. Crews quickly removed the storm grate. FF Dylan Fanslau, who was celebrating his birthday, leaped into the storm drain and pulled the distressed dog from the pipe. The dog was turned back over to its owners and seems to be doing fine. The extrication took about 5 minutes to complete
